Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, invites us to engage in deep introspection, reflecting on the past year and seeking renewal in the year ahead. It's a time for returning to oneself, fostering personal growth, and pursuing good health.

Dr. Bob Braitman, Past International President of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs (FJMC), is calling upon the members of our community to join the FJMC King of the Hill-Neve Hanna Individual Walking Challenge. The challenge aims to promote better health through Wellworksforyou, a competitive app-based walking program while raising funds for Neve Hanna Children's Home, which supports at-risk youth in Israel. This is a great opportunity to unite for a worthy cause while improving their well-being.

Objectives:

  • Promote health, fitness, and wellness awareness.
  • Foster leadership, teamwork, and camaraderie.
  • Integrate wellness programs into our core mission.
  • Raise funds and promote awareness for Neve Hanna Children's Home.

Your incredible generosity and dedication are truly impacting the future and welfare of our children. We extend our heartfelt thanks for taking part in and contributing to the FJMC King of the Hill-Neve Hanna Individual Walking Challenge in support of Neve Hanna.

Thank you.

Good health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in the new year ahead.

Chag Sameach!
Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs and American Friends of Neve Hanna

Since 1974, Neve Hanna Children’s Home in Kiryat Gat (affiliated with the Masorti/Conservative Movement), has provided a loving home for children from distressed family circumstances in the south of Israel (a short distance from the border with Gaza). They are the children of Russian, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern immigrants and native-born Israelis. By providing a nurturing and supportive family environment, Neve Hanna offers these young people the chance to grow beyond the circumstances from which they emerged. Hundreds of children have attended Neve Hanna. Many go on to build successful careers and raise healthy families. Neve Hanna aims to instill in its children a sense of self-worth and an attachment to Jewish tradition and values.
